Filipovska-Grashkoska at the Second AmCham Conference: “A Look into the Future of Our Health System”

The Director of the Health Insurance Fund, MSc Magdalena Filipovska-Grashkoska, participated in the Second Health Care Conference, held on 8 November 2023, entitled “A Look into the Future of Our Health System”, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in North Macedonia (AmCham).

At this national health care conference, which serves as a platform for bringing together policy-makers, industry leaders, health workers and distinguished experts, Director Filipovska-Grashkoska gave an overview of the challenges and possible future development directions in North Macedonia’s health system from the perspective of the Fund, with the sole aim of ensuring as many modern health services and medicines as possible for the Fund’s insured persons. She emphasised that the renewal of the “Positive List of Medicines” is of particular importance to the Fund and that the Fund is committed, in cooperation with the competent institutions, to securing more financial resources, that is, a larger budget intended for medicines for the needs of all insured persons. 

The Conference was also addressed by the Minister of Health, Fatmir Mexhiti, the Health Adviser in the Government of the RNM, Ana Daneva-Markova, and Robert Bekjirovski, Deputy Director of MALMED. Lectures were also delivered by world-renowned experts in the field, Bogi Eliasen, Director of Health at the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies, and Professor Marcin Czech from Warsaw.
