Management and the trade union satisfied with the Government’s decision
Satisfaction with the Government’s decision, whereby the salaries of the employees of the HIFRNM remain the same as in December and are not reduced, was expressed at a press conference by the two directors, M.A. Magdalena Filipovska Grashkovska and Dr Asaf Abduramani, Deputy Minister of Health Dr Maja Manoleva, as well as the representatives of the trade union and UPOZ, Branko Adzhigogov and Trpe Deanoski.
At today’s session, the Management Board implemented the Government’s decision, annulled the initial recommendation and adopted a new one, with the latest value of the point for salary calculation valid from 1 January 2024 to 31 May 2024.
The three-day strike has been suspended, and the employees have returned to their workplaces in order to complete all cases of insured persons that had been waiting due to the stoppage and to work on implementing the reforms.
This is the first salary increase for employees after 12 years, explained Director Magdalena Grashkovska-Filipovska, and stressed that she hopes the employees will justify it.
The salaries of the employees of the Health Insurance Fund will remain the same until 31 May this year, before a new budget rebalance is carried out, said Director Dr Asaf Abduramani.
The trade union thanked all organisations in the health sector and the citizens for their understanding. They expect the point value to remain the same after 31 May as well.
