HIFRNM: The systems will gradually return to operation in the coming days

HIFRNM informs the public that the functionality of the systems will gradually be restored. This process is taking additional time, but the technical teams are working continuously. 

The Fund recalls that the analysis by the expert technical teams determined that during the cyberattack there was no leakage of data outside the Fund’s databases.  

Today, the Fund also sent a notice to all PHIs and PHIs with detailed instructions for checking insured persons through My Appointment, whereby no insured person may be denied the right to health care.  

The priority is the restoration of functionality for the payment of salaries to health workers in Public Health Institutions, as well as the restoration of the systems for payment of sick leave, maternity leave and reimbursements. 

Citizens’ right to health care is not endangered; treatments, referrals for examinations and sick leave, the issuing of prescriptions by family doctors, as well as the dispensing of medicines to citizens, are proceeding without interruption, and citizens can use these health services without delay. Solutions for exercising the right to orthopaedic aids have also been harmonised.  

The Regional Offices of the Fund continuously receive requests. In addition, the Regional Offices are also available by telephone through publicly announced information lines for insured persons, to which they may turn and obtain information concerning all solutions that have been harmonised with family doctors and through which insured persons can exercise their health care rights. 

The Fund will inform the public in a timely and continuous manner about all newly established information that is of interest to citizens.
