The Fund issued several temporary solutions; salaries for healthcare workers are expected to be regulated next week
The HIFRNM informs the public that the technical teams are working continuously towards full system functionality, and in the meantime the Fund has issued several temporary solutions that overcome some of the problems. At this moment, the Fund is entering into communication with the public health institutions in order to collect the necessary documentation for payment of salaries.
In the public interest, and in connection with the journalists’ questions received, the Fund is publishing the following information:
- With regard to the payment of sick leave, maternity leave and reimbursement, we inform you that, once the system is fully operational, all obligations of the HIF towards insured persons, as well as towards health institutions, will be paid.
- Regarding the problem faced by the HIF, we inform you that the HIF is using the capacities and knowledge of all internal and external IT experts for whom there is a legal possibility.
- With regard to insured persons who, for any reason, change their family doctor (including due to the retirement of the previous family doctor), guidelines have been prepared for family doctors on how to proceed in such cases.
We use this opportunity once again to inform you that the analysis by the expert technical teams established that during the cyber attack there was no data leakage outside the Fund’s databases.

The Fund will inform the public in a timely and continuous manner about all newly established information of interest to citizens.
