Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America, Nicole Varns, on an official visit to the Health Insurance Fund

The Director of the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of North Macedonia, MrZllatko Perinski, today held an official meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States of America to the Republic of North Macedonia, Nicole Varns, who was on an official visit to the Fund.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on current conditions and reform processes in the health system, with Director Perinski presenting the role, competences and strategic priorities of the Fund, as well as the activities aimed at improving the quality, efficiency and accessibility of health services for citizens.

Particular emphasis was placed on the opportunities for further enhancing cooperation, the exchange of experience and good practices, digital transformation and strengthening institutional capacities in the health system.

The discussions highlighted the importance of the partnership with the United States of America as a strategic partner of the Republic of North Macedonia, as well as the importance of continuous dialogue and mutual cooperation in areas of common interest.

The Health Insurance Fund remains committed to developing and enhancing cooperation with the international institutions and strategic partners of the Republic of North Macedonia, with the aim of modernising the health system, exchanging good practices and ensuring higher-quality and more accessible health services for all insured persons.
