Letter of cooperation signed between the Fund and the USAID Partnership Against Corruption Project

At the Health Insurance Fund of the Republic of North Macedonia, a letter of cooperation was signed today between the Fund and the USAID Partnership Against Corruption Project, which will be implemented by Management Systems International, a Tetra Tech company.

The purpose of this letter of cooperation is to establish a basis for common priorities aimed at implementing activities that should strengthen the system for preventing and reducing institutional vulnerability to corruption.

By this, the two parties undertake to cooperate jointly, and to provide appropriate personnel and resources that will be properly allocated in the implementation of the activities related to the project.

This cooperation lays the foundation for joint efforts, focusing on key areas such as internal control, building capacities for assessing the risk of corruption, improving recruitment processes and the like.

Representatives of the USAID Partnership Against Corruption Project emphasised that, through the cooperation, support will be provided for increasing financial transparency and improving the functionality of the e-health system, as well as promoting integrity and accountability in the management of the HIF during the coming year.

The letter of cooperation was signed by the directors of the HIF, Sasho Klekovski and Branko Adzhigogov, and Lawrence Held, project director, and enters into force from the date of signing.

The media will be informed transparently by both parties, signatories to this letter of cooperation, about the course of the activities and the results of the project.
