Meeting with representatives of Farmabrend Nova and AmCham North Macedonia

The general director of the HIFRNM, Sasho Klekovski, the Minister of Health, Arben Taravari, together with representatives of Farmabrend Nova and AmCham North Macedonia, attended today’s working meeting held at the Ministry of Health. Through them, around ten innovative pharmaceutical companies are represented, providing over 90% of the innovative medicines registered in RN Macedonia, such as: Novo nordisk, Novartis, MSD, Bayer, Sanofi, Takeda, Boehringer Ingelheim, Pfizer and Roche.

- Topics considered at this meeting included: how to obtain more innovative medicines that would be placed on the positive list and would provide better healthcare, how to achieve lower medicine prices for broader coverage, and what the obstacles are to achieving these goals.

- It is in the interest of RN Macedonia, through cooperation with manufacturers of innovative medicines, to secure state-of-the-art medicines at lower prices. The innovative pharmaceutical companies also emphasised their interest in direct presence in RN Macedonia.
