Increased consumption and availability of medicines - Annual medicines report for 2016

The availability of quality medicines for all insured persons in Macedonia is an ongoing commitment of the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia, and in 2016 it enabled our insured persons greater access to medicines and facilitated the manner of obtaining medicine at the expense of the Fund. In 2016, the number of medicines at the expense of the Fund reached 1210 medicines by brand name from different manufacturers, or 427 generics with pharmaceutical dosage form and strength, of which 75% are medicines for which insured persons do not need to pay additional funds, except co-payment in accordance with legal regulations.
