Higher budget for new methods, medicines and increased scope of health care services

The Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia starts 2017 with the institution’s historically largest budget, amounting to 26 billion and 947 million denars. This budget is 1 billion and 370 million denars higher than the budget at the beginning of 2016, that is, an increase of 5,4%. The budget of around 27 billion denars is more than twice as high compared with 2000, when the Fund was established and when it amounted to 12 billion and 500 million denars.
