Through the implementation of the project of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia for the prevention of the three chronic non-communicable diseases - cardiovascular diseases, kidney diseases and diabetes, we enable the rationalisation and proper use of the Fund’s resources, as well as improvement of the quality of health care in the country. With the aim of caring for the health of insured persons, the Fund, together with the Medical Chamber of Macedonia and the Association of Private Doctors of Macedonia, medical associations and other stakeholders in the health system, introduced three targets as a prevention priority in the 2014 contracts with private health institutions.
