From Now On, Co-payment of 6000 Denars for Exercising the Right to In Vitro at the Expense of the Fund’s Budget
The right to in vitro is one of the Fund’s programmes that is of exceptionally high priority. Our aim is to meet all requests from insured persons who wish to have children but have difficulties achieving this. For that reason, the Health Insurance Fund is pleased to inform that as of 13.11.2015, in accordance with the legal amendments that entered into force, insured persons who wish to exercise the right to in vitro are exempt from paying the contribution (co-payment), which amounts to 6,000 denars, for the use of health services in in vitro procedures (IVF) for obtaining a first, second, third and fourth child, up to the third unsuccessful fertilisation attempt at most. The co-payment will be covered by the Fund.
