HIFM opens a call centre for direct communication with insured persons who have chronic diseases

From 1 October, the Fund will begin direct communication with insured persons who are chronically ill with cardiac and kidney diseases and diabetes. Communication will take place through a call centre in the Fund, by telephone calls, SMS messages and e-mail. We decided to start the Government of the Republic of Macedonia project, “The Fund cares for the chronically ill”, which envisages the involvement of Fund employees in the care of the chronically ill, earlier than planned, because some of the necessary preconditions were met. One of them was the development of new software in the Fund for preventive measures and activities among selected doctors, and this enabled the recording of insured persons with chronic diseases. The selected doctors entered 154.531 insured persons with diabetes, cardiac and kidney diseases into the Fund’s information system.
