With the latest changes in the field of medicines, the HIF has enabled insured persons to obtain medicines covered by the Fund more easily, provided a greater choice of medicines, and expanded the indication areas for medicines that may be prescribed at the expense of the HIF. These developments also have financial effects. Savings for insured persons are expected to amount to 200.000 denars annually, while the Fund, with these developments, will be able to reallocate 2 million denars annually for medicines.
