Auxiliary tools for referring patients to a higher level of health care

From 01.01.2012, the new referral method began, which, according to the Law on Health Insurance, must be applied by all health institutions that have concluded an agreement with the Fund. For the Health Insurance Fund, it is most important that all insured persons receive the necessary health service in a timely and high-quality manner, while at the same time avoiding crowding in outpatient clinics and diagnostic departments. For this purpose, the Fund, in cooperation with PHI General City Hospital “8-mi Septemvri - Skopje”, PHI University Clinic for Surgical Diseases “St. Naum Ohridski-Skopje” (old City Hospital) and Health Centre Skopje-Skopje, which are secondary-level institutions on the territory of the city of Skopje, prepared and published on its website two tables with waiting lists and telephone numbers for appointments.
